Andrew's story
Andrew reflects on his life, family and the memories that shaped him.
Eulogy Legacy creates beautifully filmed life story documentaries that preserve someone's voice, stories, memories, advice, humour and personality before those things are lost.
Most families have hundreds of photos, but very few have the stories behind them. The jokes. The lessons. The habits. The advice. The way someone paused before a sentence, laughed at their own memory, or said the words only they would say. We help families preserve those things while they can still be told.
There were no videos. No recordings. Her voice, her stories and her spirit were gone forever. Why Eulogy Legacy exists
Eulogy Legacy was founded by David Netherton after losing his nan and realising how little remained that captured her voice, her stories or the way she spoke.
After more than a decade filming and editing stories for brands, events and families, he created Eulogy Legacy to help other families preserve those things while they still can.
Our role is simple: make the filming feel calm, respectful and human, then shape it into something a family can keep.
Where a project needs additional support, we work with trusted creative professionals while keeping the experience personal and carefully managed.
Based in Essex, filming across the UK.
Who this is for, what the process feels like, and what families come away with, in our own words.
A 30-minute call, free and unhurried.
Family photographs, old moments, favourite places and small details can all become part of the final film. We treat them carefully, so they feel woven into the story rather than simply placed on a timeline.
No scripts, no pressure, no performance. The session is gently guided, but never rushed. We let real stories come out naturally.
Careful editing, sound polish, music, colour grading and family archive material, all shaped into something the family will want to keep.
A piece your children, grandchildren and future family can return to when they need to hear that voice again.
Short extracts from life story interviews. These examples show the pace, tone and care of the finished films without turning private family stories into marketing.
Andrew reflects on his life, family and the memories that shaped him.
Steve shares memories from his garden pub, with humour and warmth.
Suzanne reflects on family and life while cooking a meal at home.
Every film is private by default. Nothing is published, shared or used as a sample without written family permission.
You do not need to know what to ask. You do not need to plan a script. We guide the process so it feels human, gentle and meaningful.
We start with an unhurried call. You tell us about your loved one, your family, and what you would most want preserved. We listen, ask gentle questions, and help you decide whether this feels like the right time and the right project.
A relaxed, beautifully directed conversation in a place where they feel at ease. We send a few gentle prompts beforehand so nothing feels surprising, but there's no script and no homework. The session is unhurried. We allow enough time for the conversation to unfold naturally, and we don't cut off important stories because a timer has run out.
Filming is calm and unhurried. We also recommend having a trusted friend, relative or support person present if that helps the person being interviewed feel more comfortable.
Your story is shaped into a polished keepsake. The interview becomes the spine, with photographs, music, colour grading and audio mix woven in. Delivered digitally as a private viewing link, and (on selected packages) as a keepsake USB box you can hold in your hands.
Most people are not used to being on camera, and they do not need to be. We keep the setup simple, the pace relaxed and the conversation gently guided. There is no script, no pressure and no need to perform.
The filming is thoughtful and professional, but it should never feel intimidating.
Legacy films start from £697. Our recommended option is The Legacy Film at £1,497, which includes a guided interview, family photographs, a beautifully edited main film and a shorter Memory Film to share with loved ones.
A gentle, focused session for families who simply want to preserve someone's voice, face, laugh and words while they can, without overcomplicating the process.
A beautifully filmed life story given the time and care it deserves, weaving together personal stories, family photographs, meaningful memories and gentle music into something the family can keep forever.
For families who want a fuller record, not just of someone's words, but of the world around them. Their home, their keepsakes, their laugh, their hands, and the details that become priceless later.
Best for a simple, focused interview.
Best for a full life story with photos and a Memory Film.
Best for a deeper family archive and keepsake box.
Best for a short private message for loved ones.
For families who already have photographs, old video clips or voice notes, and would like them shaped into a short, heartfelt film.
This is created remotely from the material your family sends us. It is not a filmed legacy interview, but it can still preserve someone's voice, photographs, memories and personality in a careful way.
If you would like someone's full story captured in their own words, The Voice Keepsake or The Legacy Film will usually be a better fit.
Selected packages arrive in a wooden keepsake case, with the Eulogy Legacy mark laser-engraved into the natural grain. Inside, a wooden USB holds the finished film and any photographs we've scanned. Something that looks at home on a shelf beside the photographs that started the conversation.
Included with The Heirloom Collection. Available as an add-on with any other package for £75.
Alongside the full legacy interview, selected packages include a short Memory Film. This is a 2 to 4 minute edit using the most meaningful moments, family photographs and gentle music. It gives the family something simple, heartfelt and easy to watch or share at a wake, a memorial or a quiet gathering at home.
For some families, a full life story film is right. For others, a simple message is enough.
A Message for Later is a shorter, private film for someone who wants to leave their voice, love, advice, humour, memories or personal thoughts for the people who matter most.
None are required. Choose only what feels right for your project.
Every family is different, so our filming sessions are designed to feel relaxed and unhurried. We do not cut off important conversations because a timer has run out. If a project grows significantly beyond the agreed package, for example extra interviewees, extra locations or a much larger edit, we will always discuss it clearly with you before anything changes.
Not at all. Many of our favourite projects are made when life feels entirely normal. That's often when the best stories come out naturally. A milestone birthday, a retirement, a quiet weekend with a parent. There is no perfect moment; the best one is usually whenever feels right for your family.
The Voice Keepsake (£697) is a focused, intimate interview. It is a simple, honest way to preserve someone's voice, face and stories. The Legacy Film (£1,497) is the fuller experience: a beautifully filmed life story that weaves in family photographs, a shorter Memory Film, music and a polished cinematic edit. Our recommended option is The Legacy Film; The Voice Keepsake is for families who want something simpler.
The Family Archive Edit is a smaller remote option for families who already have photographs, short video clips or voice notes. You send the material to us through a private upload link, and we shape it into a short Memory Film with gentle music, simple titles and careful editing. It is not a filmed interview, so if you want someone's full story in their own words, The Voice Keepsake or The Legacy Film will usually be a better fit.
That is completely normal, and the question we hear most often. The interview is calm, guided and conversational. They don't need to perform or prepare a speech. The first half hour is mostly tea and chat; by the time the questions begin, the camera has usually disappeared from the room. Most people are surprised by how much they enjoy it.
Yes. We recommend having a trusted friend, relative or support person present during filming, particularly if it helps the person being interviewed feel more comfortable. They can stay quietly in the room, offer reassurance and help the experience feel relaxed. The focus remains on the person whose story is being captured.
As long as it needs to be. Every family is different, so the session is designed to feel relaxed and unhurried. Some people open up quickly, others need time, and we don't rush important stories. We won't know exactly how long is needed until the conversation begins, and that's part of the point. If a project grows significantly beyond the agreed scope, we'll discuss it clearly with you before anything changes.
Yes, please. Family photographs, old video clips, letters, postcards and meaningful objects can all help the final film feel more personal. The Family Archive Edit is built entirely from family-supplied material, while The Legacy Film and The Heirloom Collection both include photo integration. We also offer photo scanning as an optional extra if you'd like us to handle physical originals.
Wherever your loved one feels most at ease, almost always their own home. We've also filmed in gardens, allotments, sheds, the kitchen of a family pub, and on the deck of a much-loved sailing boat. The setting matters; we'll talk it through with you on the discovery call.
We are based in Essex and can travel across the UK. Travel outside the local area is quoted clearly before anything is booked.
You do. The finished film, the raw interview footage and any photographs we've scanned. All of it is yours, with full rights to share, copy and pass on. We retain a copy in our archive (with your permission) so we can re-issue replacements if a drive is ever lost or damaged. Nothing is ever published or shared without your written consent.
From the discovery call to the finished film, most projects run between six and ten weeks. The Voice Keepsake is on the shorter end; The Heirloom Collection, with more filming and a longer edit, can take up to twelve. If you're working against a tighter timeline, please tell us. We hold a small amount of capacity each month for time-sensitive work.
It's a shorter, private film for someone who wants to leave a personal message in their own voice: words of love, advice, humour or thought for the people who matter most. We gently guide them through what they may want to say, then film and edit a short personal message the family can keep. It's available standalone for £497, or as a £297 add-on to any Legacy Film package.
Tell us who you'd like to celebrate, what you're afraid of losing, and what you would love your family to still have years from now. No pressure. No obligation. Just a gentle conversation. We can also talk through who may be best placed to be present during filming.
